Pavlov’s Dawgs played their first intramural basketball game of the season today. (The picture is actually from our first season – before we got cool shirts with famous psychologist’s names on them.) The team represents the SPC and is made up of students and faculty. We came in third last season, but we got off to a rough start this year. In fact, it was brutal. We only had seven players when the game started, and within a couple of minutes we were down to four! We had three players go down with ankle injuries early in the first half. The remaining four players played the entire game. I was grateful not to get injured – that was a goal I had going into today. But I also envisioned playing only a few minutes. That didn’t happen. In any case, let’s just say we lost our first game of the season. Perhaps we can use this as motivation?
